I have always greatly admired the Sloth
Though
not in any way the cardinal sin
I
admire the Sloths of South America
Noted
for their slowness of movement
Arboreal tree
Sloths of the rainforests
Sloths
spend most of their unhurried lives
Hanging upside down in the trees
Their
slowness suits their low-energy
Diet
of leaves and helps them to avoid
Detection
by predators that hunt by sight
Tree
Sloths are quiet solitary creatures
Who
always appear to be wearing a smile
And
are happiest when they are left alone,
But
Sloths really don’t like to be touched
So,
don’t let their smiling face fool you
They
will defend themselves if threatened
By
using their razor-sharp teeth and claws
So
I identify with the Sloth and could be one
Apart
from the unsatisfying diet of leaves
And
the hanging upside down in the trees
